Kitchen Remodeling in Levittown

Second-Generation Cabinet Craft for a Better-Fitting Levittown Kitchen

A successful kitchen remodel doesn’t always require stripping the room to its studs. We help Levittown homeowners choose among cabinet refacing, custom wood cabinets, layout modifications, and full kitchen remodeling based on the kitchen’s condition and the results they want.

As second-generation cabinet makers, brothers Walt and Matt Graff bring hands-on craft knowledge to each project. Before recommending a direction, we evaluate the cabinets, storage, working clearances, worn surfaces, and existing footprint.

Choose the Right Remodeling Approach for Your Kitchen

Cabinet condition, room dimensions, and storage needs all shape the scope of a remodel. We keep the available paths distinct so you can address the kitchen you have without paying for changes you don’t need.

Cabinet Refacing

Refacing may be appropriate when the cabinet boxes and general layout remain serviceable, but the doors, drawer fronts, molding, hardware, or finishes look worn. We install custom ¾-inch solid wood face frames for a more substantial result than a thin surface treatment. We can also reface frameless European cabinets.

Custom Kitchen Cabinets

New cabinetry can address damaged boxes, awkward dimensions, inaccessible storage, or a layout that no longer works. We build custom wood cabinets in our shop without limiting designs to standard 3-inch increments. This flexibility allows us to accommodate precise dimensions, oddly sized areas, special storage needs, and accessibility-related lower cabinet requirements.

Layout Modifications & Full Remodeling

A broader remodel may be a better fit if you want to change cabinet dimensions, adjust appliance locations, remove soffits, or extend cabinets to the ceiling. We consider how each modification may affect counters, trim, clearances, and the surrounding work areas.

Why Cabinet Fit Matters in Levittown’s Postwar Homes

Levittown was developed in the early 1950s, with more than 17,000 homes constructed from a collection of similar plans. Those shared origins don’t mean every kitchen has the same dimensions today. Decades of additions, appliance changes, and earlier renovations may have created unusual wall lengths, gaps, corners, and cabinet configurations.

Some older kitchens retain a practical footprint even though their storage and visible surfaces need attention. Others require new cabinet dimensions or layout changes. We distinguish cosmetic wear from cabinet-box problems and fit constraints so the proposed work reflects the room’s current condition.

Design Guidance Backed by Proven Service

We guide you through door styles, hardware, colors, stains, and other design decisions. Our partnership with Conestoga Wood Specialties provides access to wood species, alternative surfaces, paints, stains, glazes, and finish options.

Our family business has earned 5 Houzz Awards, 2 Houzz Badges, and a 4.9 out of 5 Houzz rating. We also offer a price match guarantee, keep scheduled appointments, respond promptly to project needs, and leave the kitchen clean when the work is complete.

How the Kitchen Remodeling Consultation Works

The consultation starts with what works in your current kitchen and what you want to change. We discuss cabinet condition, storage concerns, work areas, style preferences, materials, and whether the existing layout should remain. After the scope and design choices are established, we take final measurements for refacing, custom cabinetry, targeted modifications, or a fuller remodel.

What Cabinet Refacing Includes

Refacing retains suitable cabinet boxes while replacing or rebuilding the components that shape the kitchen’s appearance and everyday operation. Because it can’t correct every damaged cabinet box or layout problem, we evaluate the existing cabinetry before recommending it.

Our cabinet refacing process includes:

  • Removing existing doors, drawer fronts, and molding.
  • Installing custom ¾-inch solid wood face frames.
  • Covering exposed cabinet sides and bottoms with matching ¼-inch plywood.
  • Adding soft-close drawer slides and dovetail drawer boxes in base cabinets.
  • Installing new doors, drawer fronts, hardware, and molding.
  • Hauling away project debris and completing a final walkthrough.

Custom Cabinets for Non-Standard Spaces

Custom cabinetry offers greater flexibility when fixed cabinet sizes would create unusable gaps or fall short of a particular storage need. Because we aren’t restricted to standard 3-inch increments, we can build for precise wall lengths, difficult corners, ceiling-height configurations, and accessibility-related lower cabinet needs.

We also handle layout modifications such as soffit removal, appliance adjustments, and work involving frameless European-style cabinets. These changes can stand alone or become part of a broader remodeling plan.

Questions About Kitchen Remodeling in Levittown

How Do I Know Whether Refacing or New Cabinets Are Right for My Kitchen?

Refacing may suit a kitchen with serviceable cabinet boxes and a workable layout. New custom cabinets may be more appropriate when boxes are damaged, dimensions need to change, storage is inadequate, or the current arrangement no longer functions well.

Can You Build Cabinets for Unusual Dimensions?

Yes. We build custom wood cabinets without restricting designs to standard 3-inch increments, allowing us to address oddly sized spaces, difficult corners, precise wall lengths, and particular storage needs.

Do You Provide Guidance on Cabinet Finishes & Hardware?

Yes. We walk you through door styles, hardware, colors, stains, wood species, and other finish choices so the design reflects what you want for the room.
